Crews (Beta) FAQ

Crews are our in-game social system where everyone participates just by playing the game. You'll automatically join a Crew after completing your first three matches. Once in a Crew you’ll compete in weekly, engagement-based competition against other Crews in your division. Each Crew can have up to 60 players all working together to score the most Crew points and move up the leaderboard. For more details check out our Crews Article here.

You’ll earn Fame and Fans after each weekly competition based on your Crews final standing. For the most dedicated Crew members each week they can earn Crew Star status which rewards extra Fame and Fans as well as a Star icon next to their name on the roster list.

Crews are divided into 7 divisions based on engagement levels and after each weekly competition the top 4 Crews in each division get promoted and the bottom 4 Crews are demoted. At the end of each weekly Crew competition the Crew system will go into a blackout mode for several hours while the system works on updating all Crew standings. During this time any games played won't contribute any points towards your Crew.

My weekly total Crew points seems stuck.

If your total Crew points aren't increasing after matches it means your scores are below the minimum score required to improve. The min score you need to reach or surpass in order to contribute to your weekly total Crew points will vary based on how active your Crew is during a week. You can always check to see what score you need to reach by checking the Dashboard in the Crews tab or on the Match Result screen. Look for Min Score to Improve.

My weekly total Crew points are disappearing.

If you notice your weekly total Crew points decreasing during a week it means some of your Wildcard slots are getting replaced by other members of your Crew with a higher score. When a Crew has filled in all Wildcard slots, higher match scores will replace the most recent lowest scores which leads to some players' total Crew points decreasing as their lower scores are removed from the Wildcard slots.

In the example below, the player has their 5 Player slots filled in, but all their Wildcard slots are currently blank as their other match scores are all below the min score of 12. Instead of having 111 total Crew points for the week, the player has just 53 total Crew points now.

Check out the FAQ below for more in-depth details around the Crews system. Reminder that this feature is in beta so let us know if you run into any issues with it.

What are the names of each division?

Divisions from most competitive to least competitive are:

  Crew Divisions
Championship
Division 2

Division 3

Division 4
Division 5
Division 6
Challenger

How do I earn Crew points?

You earn Crew points just by playing and winning matches. Crew points earned are additive and for each match you complete you will earn a minimum of 8 Crew points but you can earn up to a maximum of 23 Crew points.

+8 Completing the Match

+3 Winning the Match

+2 For a Ranked Match

+2 Per Teammate in the same Crew

+2 Match overlapped the Crew "Spotlight Hour" (A 1 Hour window during which matches score extra Crew points)

+2 Queued as a Team of 3

+1 Match played on your Crew’s “Home Turf” (A map associated with your Crew)

+1 Santai Live Broadcast (Every match played has a random chance to be considered a Santai Live Broadcast)

Your best Crew point matches fill in your Player Point slots. Players in Challenger Crews have 5 Player Point slots but as a Crew rises up the divisions players will unlock more Player Point slots. Once your Player Point slots are filled up your remaining Crew points from matches will go towards filling in your Wildcard point slots. Crews have a set amount of Wildcard slots available to be filled in by Crew members based on the Crew’s current division. Crews starting out in Challenger division have 60 available Wildcard Point slots but it can increase up to 240 Wildcard Point slots for Crews that reach Championship division. Crew members are limited to contributing 15 Wildcard point slots each.

Your Player Point and Wildcard Point slots take the best Crew scores from your matches so keep playing to increase your Crew’s overall rank standing during each weekly competition. This also means your total Crew scores may decrease during the week if other players replace your Wildcard scores with their own higher Crew scores.

How can I join my friend’s Crew?
You can join a friend’s Crew by going to your friends list and right clicking on a friend and selecting View Crew. If you meet the required minimum Crew points for your friend’s Crew and there is an available spot, you'll see an option to Join Crew. Keep in mind that you’ll only be able to change your Crew once a week.

What kind of rewards do I get from Crews?

You’ll earn Fame and Fans based on your Crew's final standing after each weekly Crew competition. The better your Crew performs the more Fame and Fans you’ll earn.

We also have seasonal rewards for Crews. (Roughly every 3 months) Players will earn a gun charm based on the highest Crew division where the player was in the Crew for at least 3 consecutive weeks and where the player completed at least 1 match. Also, for those that earned a Championship gun charm they will also receive a Spray as well.

What if I don’t reach the minimum amount of points for my Crew?
For players that fail to earn the minimum required points for their Crew during a week they will be demoted into a lower division Crew. Players that fail to earn any Crew points during the week will be removed from their Crew but after completing a single match they will be assigned to a new Crew.
What are the different types of Crew Stars?

Crew Legend: Highest lifetime contribution total for the Crew

MVP: Highest weekly contribution last week

Rising Star: Largest increase in contribution last week

When does the weekly Crew competition end?
Weekly Crew competitions end each week on Tuesday at 9 AM UTC
How do I join a higher division Crew and what is Crew lock?

By default, your Crew status is unlocked which means you can be transferred to other Crews with open spots after weekly competitions if your Crew points for the week are equal to or exceeds the minimum Player Score of the new Crew. This means if you score enough Crew points during the week you can earn yourself a transfer into a higher division Crew.

If you go into your Crew page and toggle your status to locked it will prevent all transfers to other Crews. Keep in mind that locking your Crew won’t prevent a demotion out of your Crew if you fail to earn the minimum player score for your current Crew.

There is someone being disruptive in Crew Chat. What can I do?

When you see someone being disruptive in the Crew chat you can go to your Social tab in the upper right-hand corner when you are in the main lobby and select Crew. From there you can find the disruptive player and right click on their banner to mute and even report the player.

You can also go into your Game Settings by clicking on the cog wheel icon in the upper right-hand corner and going to the General Tab where you will find an option to disable Crew chat at the very bottom.
